From a 16oz can, undated. Served in an imperial pint pub glass.
Pours a thoroughly clouded, dull pear colour with a handsome two-finger head of pouffy white lather. Retention is very good, leaving an exceptionally fat, fluffy collar and a moderate amount of clumpy lacing.
It must be me because, I swear, everything smells like whatever kind of juice I said it looks like. So, anyway, I smell pear juice. And orange and grapefruit juices, honeydew melon and sugar cookies. Not an especially strong aroma, but nice.
Taste is predominantly juicy, slightly tart citrus. Orange and grapefruit juices with a little lime zest, pineapple syrup and vanilla sugar cookies. Heavily juicy and somewhat dank, a shade less than moderate bitterness, with grapefruit pith and juniper into the finish.
Feel is juicy with a medium-hefty body and a fairly low level of bright, prickly carbonation.
Overall, this is the real deal and hits most every mark. The carbonation might be a little bit lower than what I'd want making the beer feel kind of heavy but I can see it being pretty much what the brewer had intended. At any rate, I'm nitpicking because it's still an excellent beer.
