Formally known as XPerimental Batch #7, we knew this popular New England IPA from our XP Series had to be brought into our regular lineup. ISO7 contains a generous amount Ella hops and another one of our all-time favorites, Amarillo! It's soft mouth feel gives way to a variety of citrus and melon notes.

L — Pours a hazy orange body with half finger of solid white head produced with moderate pour. Minimal spotty retention and decent lacing
S — Lime sorbet, dank fusels, new sneaker, overripe/rotten tropical fruits. Definitely quite unique, never smelled an IPA like this.
T — Quite bitter and herbaceous. Bit of grapefruit rind, wildflower honey, and more of that almost-rotten tropical fruit
F — Medium mouthfeel, medium carb

16 oz can into IPA glass. Dated 7/24/18 (yesterday).
Beautiful golden milkshake look leads to a tropical nose of apricot, guava, papaya and tangerine. Taste follows nose at top, ending is grapefruit and a small earthy taste. Feel is creamy and smooth. Overall, wonderful different IPA. Not big juice bomp but very nice juice up front and balanced ending. Will seek this out.

L - Golden yellow color, hazy body, finger of white head

S - Acidic grapefruit, gooseberry, doughy malts

T - Delectable bitter character up front washed away by orange and grapefruit.

F - Soft and fluffy.

O - Complex and drinkable IPA. Great combo of acidic hop oils and acidic citrus

ISO7.
Me so lucky.
This can was part of a dozen man-roses (in other words, three 4-packs)...red roses, to be exact, for Valentine's Day.
I can tell you this: these beers are way better than flowers, and they last longer, too. Instead of a vase, I put them in a glass (a flare)...And they pour so beautifully. Hazy, but clean as can be. An inch of foam that fights to hang on, and sort of does, with a strong collar that stuck around 'til the very end.
Hell, this beer even looked good as it disappeared.
Featuring Ella and Amarillo, this is as modern of a beer that you could get...it's nearly futuristic. To me, the Ella has a slight peachy flavor, and the Amarillo works well add complexity. There are other, more tropical-tasting IPAs out there...but, this one stands out...stands above. It's so right, in every way...you wouldn't even know it was 7% abv.
Hey, if I were you....I'd be In Search Of 7.
