On tap at the brewery; served in a 5-ounce tasting glass. Deep cola colored pour, with ruby highlights. Notes of chocolate and coffee atop roasty malt greet the nose and palate. These become more prominent as the beer warms, when a hint of tart fruit begins to emerge. Smooth and silky mouthfeel, with a bit of sweetness and roasty bitterness lingering on the finish. Delicious sipper, and surprisingly good with a flatbread pizza. :-)
