Pedro Ximenez sherry barrel aged variant.
Pours a dark brown body with a small brown head. Leaves good lacing and a ring of retention.
Aromas are chocolatey with definitely sherry, wine notes. Slightly metallic. Taste is roasty with dark chocolate, vanilla and sweet sherry on the finish. Mouthfeel is medium with low carb (could use a bit more).
Overall an enjoyable beer

22 oz. bottle served in a tulip at 52 degrees. Pours the color and clarity of cola with a loose, 1/8th inch, kaki-colored head that dissipates into a sudsy froth that coalesces against the walls of the glass. Ruby highlights are illuminated when backlit. Nice nose - whiskey, vanilla, american oak and buttery notes. Taste consistent with nose with nose; however, it comes off a bit watered down and there's some ethanol at the back. Mouthfeel is light-medium in body with a smooth, even carbonation and a trace of heat. Overall, a very nice effort and more enjoyable than the base beer. The major shortcoming is that the body comes off a bit thin.
