This ale is inspired by the Belgian monastery brews. Nutty brown ale with a white head, a lovely fruitiness and notes of orange. Brewed with Belgian monastery yeast. Top fermented.

Copenhagen 17/12 2015. 50 cl bottle from Fakta. A bit of snow flakes on the dark green label to remind us that this is a Christmas Beer.
Pours hazy copper brown with an off-white head. Settles as a thin layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is sugary and malty with notes of caramel and toffee. A bit of metallic alcohol lurking.
Medium strong carbonation and a little sticky palate. Lightly tangling texture.
Flavor follows the nose with sweet caramel and toffee and raisins. Followed by a nice medium bitter aftertaste. A bit unbalanced and way too sweet. The aftertaste helps a bit.
Not much Belgian Abbey Ale to this. I know babies usually have a sweet tooth - but this is taking it too far.
