22 ounce bottle, I think this was a February 2018 release for their 1 year anniversary. Purchased at Holsopple about a month ago. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch tan head that stuck around for a long time. There's also a good amount of lacing. I like the aroma, the brew smells like roasted malt, coffee, pine hops, cocoa and a bit of bourbon. Taste is pretty much just like the aroma, with roasted/burnt malt, coffee, pine hops, bittersweet and milk chocolate, and some bourbon and citrus peel. Have to say the bourbon in this is light. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's creamy and coating with a good amount of carbonation. I think it's a good all around strong dark ale with a good amount of malt and hops, although I'm not sure if this was barrel aged very long or not. But with that being said, I thought it was quite tasty so it's definitely worth picking up a bottle or two if you're in the area, and might as well hang out there to try more of their brews too! I try to make it to Holsopple whenever I'm in Louisville, they're one of the more under the radar breweries there.
