The Vienna style is an "amber adjunct lager" carried into Mexico by immigrants. It changed over the years, but retains some tie to its original roots. It features toasty malt with caramel, mild richness, moderate bitterness and a dry finish with slight corn sweetness. Bold like el toro, clean like el matador. ¡olé!
History: Plaza de Toros Alberto Balderas is an active bullfighting stadium in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico. Located less than one mile from Downtown El Paso, you can find event information here.
Food Pairings: No surprise here, Mexican Vienna goes well with spicy foods and bold flavors: tacos, guacamole, chile peppers, lime grilled chicken and the like.
