Lockport Brewery

At one time, friends have described this as a bare bones taproom, but they're going to need to readjust their perceptions, as it's more like a full on restaurant with a large scale patio that also just so happens to brew a wide variety of beer serving a boisterous bar.

Bartenders are energetic and sarcastic, ribbing newcomers and locals alike, but especially the regulars in unflinching fashion. Suggestions fly at you fast and furious, and suds are in front of you lickety split. I'd only had one beer by Lockport before, which didn't leave a lasting impression, but this time was different. Everything was of high quality and tasted quite good, even the Cinnister Apple ale. While it was offered with a cinnamon-sugar rim, which were just constantly flying out from the bar, we opted to keep it clean, and it still stood well on its own, like a damn tasty fritter.

We got a veggie pizza and a Cuban for dinner, both ripping hot and satisfying. We spent much longer than expected due to the very engaging clientele chatting about this, that and the other thing. It was a good time.
