Apparently we were there on official opening week[end]. It showed a little in the staff, which seemed competent but not confident. The place had more of a restaurant vibe, leaning towards pub. A nice, clean place with a cross of modern and old school decor.
The beers are a mix of solid historical re-creation and one-offs. The core beers were nice, but it'll be interesting if what was old will become new again. I can see this place being more of a neighborhood hangout with historical ties than being a beer geek Mecca. And there's nothing wrong with that at all.
For us beer geeks, look for that more historically accurate brew. If you do, you'll likely be satisfied. Not sure how such a new place will adjust, but I feel it's worth a try if you're in the right frame of mind: new isn't always "new"
