Copenhagen 22/7 2025. 33 cl bottle from Meny, Illums, Kbh. K. Label with some sort of strange landscape in brown and green colors. Very sombre.
Pours opaque dark brown with almost no head. The foam disappears completely after a few seconds. No iacing.
Aroma is intense with a sweet malty odor mingling with a shitload of sugar and alcohol. Dark malts and dark fruits. Plums and raisins. Dark alcohol and brown sugar.
Low carbonation. Thick, oily, a bit greasy and sticky, viscous, almost flat texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong, heavy sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet and potent with more than a touch of alcohol. Lingering. Finish is sweet, potent and boozy.
The Hoppy People of Switzerland nails a Quad pretty convincingly. But not many hops around.
