This beer is equipped with a pull tab for its bottle cap. That is a standout feature of this beer and I’ve never seen it in any other beers I’ve tried so far.
Meanwhile, the beer itself has a straight mahogany color, featuring flavors that are subtle with light toffee, cola and candi sugar, and it’s slightly sweet, albeit very mild for a alt bier. The aroma is mild, slightly musty, candi sugar aroma, with a subtle bready aftertaste. This is a good light version of the Alt Bier you’re used to. It’s similar to the Moose Drool from Big Sky Brewing Company in Montana. Nevertheless, there are other good alt biers out there.

Poured into a small pint glass. Pours a medium to dark mahogany brown with a half finger khaki head with good retention and light lacing. Aroma of semi-sweet dark toasted and bready malt, nuts, a hint of cocoa and dates, nice. Flavor follows with bready and mild toasted malt, nuts and cocoa. Flavor falls off somewhat in the finish, which is a little thin, but has nice residual toasty malt and cocoa powder notes and a light hop bitterness. Medium bodied with little creaminess. Closer in style to a brown ale than an alt, but has most of the traditional dark malt character. The aroma and initial flavor are quite good, but tastes a little thin in the finish.
