Rockwell Brewery

Cool little brewery in quaint Frederick MD, attached to a cigar shop and a beer center, pretty sweet! Lots of seating outdoors, as well as tables and a large bar inside. Good selection, decent quality, good service, and limited but adequate snack fare.

Cool enough spot, had that industrial park feel. Seemed like there were several parties of 6-8 people, so a good hand. Beers were good and selection could have been better, but enough variety to find something anyone could enjoy. Service was great, even though they were a little busy.

A mix of inside and outside seating, most of which will put you next to another patron so you can make friends if you wish. Ordering occurs at a central location at the bar. They chalk board showed a decent variety of styles available, though the quality of those selections were hit and miss.

 

 

It's a hip little micro brewery... it has good vibes with bingo and trivia on mondays. Surprisingly packed on a Monday... but the people here seem like they are not kid friendly and the short haired bartender seems kind of bitchy... overall the vibes are good but not family friendly... 12 beers brewed here, which is a good bit for a micro brewery. (Adding this later, another bartender a cutie curly haired black girl was more friendly and let me taste a few beers for free cuz she saw I was rating beers.)

 

This has been a nice addition to the Frederick beer scene. They have good beer, lots of parking, family friendly, and they bring in food from family meal. My biggest complaint with Rockwell is that other locations are doing the exact things they are but better. Downtown Frederick has recently been blessed with several brewery openings. If Rockwell was the only game in town they'd be great. However, they're middle of the road for the overall scene. The other new brewers typically have more beers on tap, better quality, or a better vibe. Rockwell is definitely worth checking out, just not my current favorite option.

Loud place, expensive and average quality craft beers. Frederick hipster hang. Not a great combo there. Easy parking situation is a plus. Staff seemed friendly. Need to step up the quality of the beers though to match their high prices.
