My wife had this on draught when we’re at the brewery, very rich, and tasty. We liked it so much we bought some cans to go.
Surprisingly this being the best beer we had that day at the brewery had no reviews, or even listed for that matter.
This review is from a can poured into a clear plastic hotel cup. A very dark pour, almost black with an amber hue, thick foamy tan head with fair retention and nice lacing.
The brewmaster calls this one a “Robust Porter”. And no kidding, it’s probably the most robust porter I’ve ever had.
Aroma and flavor are dominated by extremely dark roasted and heavily caramelized barley malt. Dark and chocolatey, toasted cacao nibs, molasses, dark coffee, toffee, vanilla.
The underlying tangy sweetness is somewhat suppressed by the roasted flavors and hops bitterness. This brew sits on the edge of being smoky and boozy.
The finish is very flavorful, and pleasant bitterness is surprisingly smooth, delicious.
This is one of those you could enjoy for dessert by pouring over vanilla ice cream.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
