Two-finger head that settles in a lumpy fashion. It becomes film and leaves decent streaks and spots for lace. The liquid is dirty gold and cloudy.
The smell from this beer is off to me. Initially, it's like the smell from the trap under your sink. There's also a metallic presence.
The taste is marked improvement. It's boozy and malty with enough hop bitterness to balance the entire brew. Higher carbonation than most Tripels but the body is rich enough to fit the style. The alcohol dominates throughout and creates a warming finish and aftertaste.
