NO can date
Pours a larger foamy tan head with great retention, layers of lacing, dark basically black color
Nose brings rich fudgey cocoa, chocolate ganache, a bit of marshmallowy nougat and hint of baking spice, light roast and coffee in the background, little caramel and rich malt
Taste brings more rich dark malts, getting a bit spicy up front, some spicy hops and plenty of baking spice and anise, then the roast and coffee but not a lot, a bit of fudgey chocolate, cocoa, creamy soft nougat, med bitterness from hops and roasted malts, turning to a med-high spicy hop bitterness on the finish, and then high bitterness late, mild sticky sweet finish with a hint of alcohol as well
Mouth is fuller bod, rich and a bit creamy, higher foamy carb, hint of alcohol
Overall I'd def call this an American stout, the hop level is quite high but almost all on the back end and finish, roasted malts don't get too burnt or acrid, nice sweet characters as well, pretty solid all around American stout
