really enjoying this brewery, wish I could get down there more often. No can date
Pours a large frothy brownish 1+ finger head with great retention, messy lacing, dark almost black color with a touch of ruby light
Nose loads of peanutbutter, mild roasted coffee, dark chocolate fudge, toasted roasted peanuts, a bit of hazelnut as well, roasted malt and a little bitter roast
Taste rich dark chocolate and cocoa, a little coconut even, fair nutty with toasted roasted peanuts, peanut butter, bitter roast and a little spicy hop, mild roasted coffee and roasted malt, touch of hazelnut and vanilla spice as well, creamy thick milk chocolate, some bitter spicy hops lingering, bit more fudge and peanut butter
Mouth is fuller bod, med frothy carb, just a hint of warming alcohol
Overall quite nice, I'd have to do this side by side with regular crunch but I'm not sure there is much difference, except maybe the alcohol
