NO can date, but must be fresh
Pours a large frothy bubbly and creamy 1.5 finger off-white head with great retention, soapy lacing, mostly clear amber to copper auburn color
Nose fair sweetness, toasted reddish malt, sweet bread crust, a bit of caramel and toffee, candy sweet malt, some chocolate as well, some malt-derived fruity esters, reddish but generic fruit, hint of spicy hop
Taste more malt forward, biscuity reddish toasted malt, sweet bread crust, fair chocolate again, some toffee and caramel but more like general sweet malty flavor almost like a toasted malt soda, fair sweetness overall, then some herbal spicy hops with med-light bitterness, then drier finish with more med bitterness and spicy hops lingering, a bit more sweet malt as well
Mouth is med to a bit fuller bod, med to higher frothy carb
Overall solid Irish Red, nice malt forward, good hop back end, malts were good in general but overall a bit too sweet
