Hazed dark orange-brown with a finger of dense, creamy-looking white head that leaves modest lacing.
A hint of pine, orange and even cherry in the nose.
Moderate earthy bitterness stands out in the taste. There's a flash of orange sweetness and then a sort of bready malt for balance.
Heavy bodied for an APA with nice carbonation.
I like the heavy malt presence in this one. Much darker and more malty than most APAs being produced these days. It's nothing out of this world, but is definitely refreshing and with a nice bitterness to it.
