Wissahickon Brewing Co. "Ravenhill "
$6/13 oz. on tap at the brewery on 07/28/2022
Notes: “American Porter w/ notes of chocolate, plum, & toasted bread.”; 5.9% ABV
Look: The body is an opaque black beneath a tan head of foam. Very good head retention and lacing.
Smell: Roasty, grassy, dark chocolate-like, and caramelish.
Taste: Notes of dark chocolate, roastiness, coffee, apple, and a berry-like fruitiness. A median to moderate bitterness balances it and leads to a dry finish with notes of coffee and toffee left lingering.
Feel: Medium bodied and gently crisp-then-smooth.
Overall: A very pleasant and straightforward porter.
