Wissahickon Brewing Co. "Sakima Citra"
$4/half pint at the brewery on 12 October 2018
Notes: This is a "juicy" New England-style IPA. It displays a very hazy golden-orange body beneath a finger-thick head of bright white foam. The aroma is "juicy" with orange, a hint of lemon, and a touch of citrus pith. The flavor follows with the usual basic golden malt base smoothed and accentuated by oats. It's sweetish but not "sweet", and acts as the perfect springboard for the orange-like hops. Bitterness is the most common variable within the "juicy" style and this one hits midway, giving it a mild touch of lingering bitterness in the finish, and balance from start to finish. Nicely done all around.
