Wissahickon Brewing Co. "Buzzz'd"
$4/half pint at the brewery on 12 October 2018
Notes: "Wildflower Honey IPA" Cloudy golden orange body beneath a bright white head. Average head retention and lacing. It's not a bold aroma but it's malty sweet and floral, and maybe just slightly tropical. The flavor is fuller than the aroma as is usually the case. It's sweet, malty, fruity, floral, and slightly spicy. Median bitterness. It's superbly balanced, and although it starts sweet it finishes dry. The alcohol has a slight presence but never really shows. Medium bodied with a dextrinous edge and gently bristling carbonation. I wish the honey had come through more in the flavor but it does lend a lot to the flavor. Impressive.
