Wissahickon Brewing Co. "Quelle"
$5/pint on tap at the brewery on 07/28/2022
Look: Cloudy orange body beneath a finger's width of white foam.
Smell: There are plenty of phenolic notes (Band-Aid, clove, medicinal) over a lightly sweetish and wheaty malt base.
Taste: Sweetish, bready, wheaty, and lightly caramelish malt is threaded through with fruity notes of banana and apple as well as spicy, medicinal, plastic-like, clove-like, and herbal characteristics. It has an earthy and spicy dry finish with the bitterness lingering.
Feel: Medium bodied and lightly dextrinous with a crisp, effervescent carbonation.
Overall: This is a somewhat unique, spicy and earthy hefeweizen that's dry and refreshing in the finish.
