Wissahickon Brewing Co. "Nimbo Nectaron"
$8/13 oz. on tap at the brewery on 07/28/2022
Notes: Brewed with Nectaron hops; 7.1% ABV
Look: Very hazy gold body beneath a finger's width of white foam. Very good head retention and lacing.
Smell: Overall tropical fruit including notes of pineapple, peach, passionfruit, and soft grapefruit.
Taste: The flavor follows. Sweet malt is threaded through with notes of apricot, orange, guava, passionfruit, peach, and pineapple. A median to firm bitterness leads it to a mainly dry finish with a swirl of tropical fruitiness and some subtle herbs lingering momentarily.
Feel: Medium bodied and gently crisp-then-smooth.
Overall: This is an interesting twist on their "Nimbo" displaying a hop that's not really that common.
