Wissahickon Brewing Co. "Daybreak"
12 fl. oz. can coded "050226" and sampled on 031626
Notes via stream of consciousness: I'm not sure what's up with that date code. It looks like it would be a packaged on date, and yet that date hasn't rolled around yet. Anyway, it's poured a very hazy golden-orange body beneath a thumb's width of white foam. The hops are listed as Galaxy, Mosaic & El Dorado. I mainly get Mosaic out of the aroma with resins, that beautiful berry note it lends, and some mango. The taste, thankfully, has the blueberry note that I love from Mosaic. It's also got notes of apricot, peach, citrus, pear, passionfruit, flowers, earthiness pine, and papaya. I'm sure if you look hard enough you can find more. The malt is sweetish, and wheaty. I'm not getting any clear oat flavor but it's got to be there, right? The bitterness is on the moderate side but there's still some there and it finishes mainly dry with some earthiness, pine, and assorted fruits lingering. In the mouth it's medium bodied and gently crisp and then smooth. All in all this one checks all the boxes.
