Hazed amber with a finger of creamy-looking, light tan head that has great retention and leaves decent lacing.
Dark, malty aroma with borderline coffee impressions.
Sweet tasting with nice kiss of malt that doesn’t cross the line into being heavy handed.
Very zippy carbonation in the feel — enough that might affect quaffability if I were drinking it by the liter. Fairly creamy feeling too while the head lasts.
A yummy Marzen. Only mark against it is the over carbonation.

The pour from the tap that filled a clear pint glass was beautiful. The brew is dark copper-amber, yet it's light and bright. There's a modest off-white head that will prove to be enduring. The aroma is mildly malty and may even have a citrus character. How could citrus get there within this style? But, citrus it is upfront, surprisingly, even with the aroma's forecast. It disappears very quickly and this almost immediately becomes a very enjoyable Octoberfest style beer. It's plenty malty and adds a nuttiness to the taste. The mouthfeel is marvelously smooth, yet not too heavy. There's plenty of glass lacing, too. This is an outstanding beer. It provides taste transitions within a style not known for them. It also hits all the right characteristics for its style. This was a good find. Here's hoping you can find it, too.
