Had on tap. Had this at town hall, they said starkeller is officially separate brewery from schell's now because they want to stop infection from crossover. Makes sense, so here we are, first review for starkeller, though I have enjoyed a couple in the noble star series now. Dark, dark purple body with only a trace ring of bubbles. Smell is more black currant than blackberry, but both present, has some black cherry, wood, and a hint of earthiness. Taste is very tart from the currants and blackberry, bordering on vinegar level, wood is different from oak but can't place it, nice brightness and rustic nature to it. Wheatiness of the berliner is pretty much lost, but there is more mass to it than a sour in general.
