A light amber malty German style lager balanced by beech smoked malt and restrained spice of hops. Hint of honey and reminiscent of a lightly smoked Scotch. Pair with BBQ or sausage.

On tap at Silver Lake Brewing in Perry, NY.

This one pours a dark-ish brown color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.

This smells like toasted bready malt, campfire smoke, and some light caramel.

This has a pretty spot on smoke level, not too overwhelming, but definitely there and making a positive impression on the beer. There's a bready and toasty malt character, with no real hop flavor.

This is light bodied, crisp, clean, and quite drinkable.

This is always a favorite lesser known style for me, and I always order one if I see one on the menu.
