On tap at Silver Lake Brewing in Perry, NY.
This one pours a golden orange-ish color, with a small head, and a bit of lacing.
This smells like funky apple juice, white wine, oak, and lemon.
The barrel used here completely dominates this beer – not necessarily in a completely bad way, but definitely in a notable way. There’s lots of apple cider/apple juice here, funky, fruity, and generally pretty tasty. There’s a touch of lemon and wine-like citrusy notes, but the apple thing is definitely the leading role here.
This is light bodied, soft, lightly carbonated but not flat, with a nice drinkability.
Silver Lake quietly makes some of the better saisons in Western New York.
