Poured in a goblet glass.
Look: Still - poured with no head. Some and infrequent bubbles coming out of solution. Generally Ruby Red/Garnet in color with a bit of brown. Crystal clear. No legs.
Smell: Cabernet Sauvignon note immediately, followed by port and cranberry notes. Some low dark fruits (plum and raisin). Low malt-sweetness note. Mild esters. No hop aroma.
Taste: Oxidized cabernet sauvignon/port-like wine flavor. Medium-low maltiness, with a bit of apparent sweetness. Maybe a result of the alcohol, but does not taste boozy. Well-attenuated and low-esters. Not heavy or syrupy. Not quite the complexity of a quad.
Mouth Feel: Full-body. No carbonation.
Very wine like, but does not linger as a wine does. Smooth and creamy. No alcohol warmth.
Overall: Pleasant to drink. Clean, well-attenuated, and flavorful. A bit one-dimension because of heavy wine influence but good. Can finish the 750ml (2 glasses) in a sitting but that is about it. Was hoping for carbonation - may have made it taste more like a Quad than a wine.
