This was a nicely crafted beer. A hoppy version of a Scottish Ale, served in a 23-oz glass, as are all of their house brews. Medium bodied, dark amber in color, moderately carbonated, with minimal lacing. A very tasty balance of chocolate, caramel, smoke, and noble hops flavors. Mouthfeel was initially soft, finishing slightly astringent due to the relatively high hopping rate for the style. The bartender was not aware of the ABV for this beer. I am guessing 6.5 7.0 % range, but I could be wrong. There was only a minimal alcohol presence in the taste and finish. Very drinkable.
