Sampled on tap at the brewpub in early May 2010.
The beer pours a black color with a tan head. The aroma is roasted malt with some vanilla. As the beer warms you get more mint and chocolate notes. The flavor is strong vanilla, chocolate and roasted malt. Medium-thick mouthfeel and low carbonation.

Black with a lil dark brown.
Smells prodominantly of vanilla, with some cocoa as well.
Also tastes prodominantly vanilla, but much more mocha latte than the aroma. Roastiness, espresso, and some hops come through in the finish. Also some biscuity malt for a moment and then caramel fade long after.
Feels very thick, slick, and creamy but fades into some bitterness and dryness.
Highly drinkable.
Sone batches are especially vanilla, others are especially roasty and/or hoppy. Sheet at the bar shows 5.3%, $3.75 for a pint.
I think overall his porters are consistenttly my favorite house brews.

Pours a deep, rich black color with a light but short lived beige head. Smell is strongly of vanilla and astringent coffee. Taste is very influenced by the vanilla to begin with with strong coffee in the finish that lingers for a bit. Pretty nice beer with a bold flavor. (not served on nitro)

They have this beer listed as a Robust Porter. It looked great, dark with a perfect head-brown. Strong cocoa aroma and a bit of vanilla. Vanilla really comes out in the flavor. Smooth and easy to drink. We had two pitchers of this and probably could of had another. Definitely recommended.
