On tap during the Draught House 43rd Anniversary Party. This beer was described as an aged stout, with no other details available.
The beer pours a pitch black color with a small brown head. The aroma is very heavy on the roasted malt. I also get a whole lot of chocolate and a little bit of charred character. The flavor follows suit. The chocolate and charred/smoke notes dominate the flavor with the roasted malt rounding things out. I also get a little bit of earth in the beer, possibly from the hops. The alcohol is very well hidden and the beer is easy to drink. Medium to thick mouthfeel and low carbonation. A nice stout.
