lovely brew, my first from noble roots, funny packaging, cool hop profile, i think it might change from release to release, but this one is uncommon for a hazy, belma, el dorado, and zeus, and each is appreciable on its own for what it contributes, but also there is wonderful synergy in this. i love fruity belma hops, i get red berry notes and even pink lemonade from them, but also they are herbal and springy too, sort of delicate while also being real distinctive, always surprised they dont get used more in hazy stuff like this. the beer is pale, straw colored, frothy and lively from the can, creamy white headed with uniform haze and not too dense or sedimented. nose hits me with ripe wild strawberry from the belma, maybe a hint of red currant without the astringency, almost ripe melon from the el dorado, and a bitter grapefruit zest and pith thing from the zeus, dynamic to say the least and mighty fresh. i get just about all of what i smell in the taste, berries abound, some light spiciness on the back end, resinous pine and weed, bitter citrus, and i really like this having some bitterness, more ipa than juice. bold but never green or overdone, fairly complex as it warms, simple grain base, fuller medium bodied, maybe a little more starchy than it needs to be but its close, and the carbonation is right there. overall a uniquely hopped and very drinkable can of beer, belma is the star, but all the hops play great together. i would buy this if it was available where i live, and it has me curious to try more from these guys. hopefully when i am out that way later in the year i can check out the brewery! this was awesome.
