Nice job in integrating the City of New Britain in the decorum of the brewery. Alverium is very comfortable with the foosball machine and table top shuffleboard. Starting to get very crowded because of the homey atmosphere. The beer is showing improvement and while my wife doesn't really drink the beer, she likes to go there because of the atmosphere, the games and the dogs who always seem to be in attendance. With only two tap systems, there always seems to be lines. Great addition to the community!

This place is a diamond in the rough. I only recently found out about Alvarium and I am so upset it has taken me this long to check it out. What a great environment to drink at. Long drinking tables with card games, shuffleboard sand tables, Foosball, they even sell snacks and generally have a food truck on the weekends. The first time I went with friends it looked a little quiet from the outside but as soon as you walk in the door you feel like you're in a different place and the crowd is always fun!

First time there yesterday. The beer is solid. I had phresh (NEIPA) and wife had Headwig (Oktoberfest) and we shared a hand made pretzel that was pretty good also.
Great vibe, decent crowd (maybe 75 people). This was a Friday at about 5.
Ended up talking to one of the owners for 15 minutes plus. Very friendly guy and I was surprised he spent as much time conversing with us for such a busy place. These guys are bootstrapping and doing a good job at it. The build out is quite impressive for a place from scratch that just opened in June. Note that this place is the only sales outlet for their beer right now. Zero distribution, not even bars/restaurants. Hope the quality doesn't suffer when they get bigger because it is top notch right now.
About a 45 minute drive for me, but I will be going back.

Located in a circa 1960s industrial park, Alvarium's taproom is large and spacious, with a 20 or so seat bar on the right, and another row of countertop seating running parallel on the left where the room is partitioned off from the brew house. With additional tables in the front and back, it's a big room. Bar is made from reclaimed wood, and sports a hi-tech digital taplist. The staff was courteous and engaging. The place has been open about 5 week... they had 4 of the own beers on tap, the three I tried were very tasty, and they had three local guest taps and a cider. They have a crowler machine... SWEET. Very pleasant experience, I look forward to future visits.
