look out, ive got some strong words for this one. you absolutely, under no conditions, can label a beer "de champagne" or "brut" as a style, and have it be dead flat, that just cant exist. i didnt buy a bottle, they cost more than 20 bucks in the denver market when they came out this fall, and for a brewery i had never heard of and a small bottle, thats a huge ask, a risk i (thankfully) was not willing to take. i had this on tap, and frankly, if "this was so much better and more lively in the bottle", then dont keg it, dont make the the money grab, respect quality, what the heck?! this is lame on tap, and while the flavor is actually great, grapey in some ways, vinous rather, fresh and floral hibiscus type, tea elements, blooming, raspberry notes, punch, whatever, it doesnt matter because its dead still, and if there is some wine or champagne yeast here influencing the flavor, i dont care because this is stagnant. it just cant be this way. they present this to us as artisan, something special, and it isnt, its average at best, and despite liking the flavor a lot, this is woefully amateur in every way. its still like water, that doesnt work in any wild ale, let alone something with this style moniker. it pisses me off. sell me a lackluster beer in this style for a fair price, and i drink it, eat it, and shut up, but ask me for 23 bucks for some "specialty" looking short bottle and have it be this lame, i will tell everyone that will listen, so heres this review screaming, "bhavana cheated me and duped us all and this is dead flat "biere de champagne"! forget that, forget this, forget bhavana, not real pleased here... oh! but good for you, the booze is "well hidden"... fun! skip this at all costs, even if for these now political reasons. these guys owe me one...

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
