Appearance: Pours a cloudy apricot color with a one finger head; decent persistence with some spotty lace and a couple of shards
Smell: Funky peach and apricot aromatics; oaky, with a vinous aspect; the fruit bursts with orchard freshness
Taste: Hints of grain underpin the peach and apricot flavors that emerge, first sweet and then, increasingly tart; in the middle, the Chardonnay barrel takes over, bringing oak and a buttery (not diacetyl) tone; funky, throughout, with a pucker in the finish
Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation
Overall: As this beer warms, it blossoms with fruity character; an extremely impressive fruited sour
