Appearance: A frothy beige head perches atop the prune juice colored liquid; excellent retention and splashes of lace
Smell: Roasted notes interplay with lactic blackberry; a vinous Cabernet tone combines to produce hints of dark chocolate
Taste: Tart blackberry flavors blend with the roasted malt notes with the Cabernet and oak emerging, in the middle, tannic and dry, after the swallow, with tart fruit lingering into the finish
Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation
Overall: I enjoy a well-executed sour with a roasty edge and this one hits those notes
