Look: It pours very dark brown with a brown head. There is medium head retention.

Smell: There is a sweetness in the aroma with the roasted notes. There are some dark fruits that are most like plums.

Taste: There are some roasted flavors with coffee and chocolate. There is a low level of cocoa powder. Dark fruits are in the background and are mostly plum like. There is a hint of nuttiness as well.

Feel: It has a medium with a silky smooth texture.

Overall, a nice complex combinations of flavors and smooth texture makes this an enjoyable beer.

Appearance: Arrives fudge brown with a two finger ecru head; good retention and webs of lace

Smell: Unsweetened chocolate with a hint of roast

Taste: Chocolate with chalky tone; a bit of roast in the middle with an extremely dry finish

Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation

Overall: A bit unusual as it lacks the creamy mouthfeel of an Oatmeal Stout but I really liked the dry flavor profile
