After nearly two years in our Italian Sangiovese puncheons, this Helles lager was blended with white peony tea.

Appearance: Pours almost clear and goldenstraw coloed with a frothy two finger head; shards of lacing
Smell: Musty and bready, with hints of oaky red wine and tea leaves
Taste: The oak and tea leaves flavors are stronger in the flavors than in the aroma and there is a bit of tart green apple in the mix, as well; bready tones buttress and the finish brings some of the must; the tartness lingers in the aftertaste
Mouthfeel: Light to medium body with moderate carbonation
Overall: Interesting to age a Helles for two years in Sangiovese puncheons but I don't know that the end result is that different from a Farmhouse Ale
