Pours a deep mahogany with a very thin and quickly dissipating head. Holding it up to the light reveals a beautiful cherry-red color.
Has a very fruity smell from which I really can't pick out anything in particular. Smells quite pleasant.
The fruitiness is subdued in the taste by some hop presence and has quite a malty finish. Very smooth and the alcohol is dangerously hidden.
Great mouthfeel, not too heavy but very full and pretty mild compared to some other barleywines I've had recently.
If you can get this, it's a must try. This is hands-down my favorite Legend beer ever. While the majority of their beers are solid, they're not special. This beer is special, and even fresh is on par with the aged Bigfoot and Millennium I had recently. Hopefully someone who's better capable of picking apart a beer this complex will follow this simple review with a more comprehensive one.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
