Pours a nice deep chocolate brown with average head and minimal lacing. Aroma of sweet malt and wine. Taste is nice with the habanero not biting too much, but leaving a slight burn after warming. Has a lot of wine-like characters, very tannic

From the bottle, it pours a very dark brown that seems to suck in the light. Small head forms, quickly dissipating. A bit of chocolate in the nose, along with malt. A bit of heat in the mouth, along with the malt. Intriguing!

Chili oatmeal stout, hmm...brown body, tan head. Aroma is pleasant with chocolate, toffee, and red berries. After a sip, the aroma seems earthier, but that could be some residual heat from my mouth working its way up. The flavor does not live up to expectations, as I was hoping for a little more malt sweetness. Still, some interesting things going on with chocolate and chili (bottle says habaƱeros). The heat shows up in the first sip, and there seems to be a cumulative effect. Fortunately, I'm a fan of spice, but this will be too much for some. Oatmeal gives a silky mouthfeel, so my mouth is not bored with this. Fun to try.
