Poured from a bomber into a shaker pint, the beer is jet black, with a low profile, fluffy, creamy, tan head. Beautiful in glass. The aromas are milk chocolate sweet and rich forward, with a solid backbone of rich, roasted coffee, and ribboning highlights of cream and earthy notes. Smells great; balanced and layered. Flavors are rich and roasted forward, deep coffee flavors blending with sweet milk chocolate, with some tangy creme highlights, and some earthy notes. Hints of char and smoke dance around the palate, too. The body is creamy smooth, but remains light, with a roasted and bitter coffee aftertaste. The finish is smooth, with a decent linger of coffee and milk chocolate. Very solid beer.
