This was on tap a few months ago at the brewery and is reviewed from notes. I'm not sure what the ABV was, and they don't bottle it, so I don't know if it was a once-only thing either. If someone needs to update or amend some of this they can surely do so.
Appearance: Slightly cloudy brownish amber color with not a lot of head retention and seemingly not a lot of carbonation floating toward the top.
Smell: Spices and brown sugar up front, with a bit of woodiness and earthiness and slight molasses. Minimal hop presence.
Taste: Spices and woodiness up front, a bit of warming alcohol, vanilla, maple, and finishes semi-sweet with brown sugar and roasted malts with a slight hop presence to balance some of that out.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied, a bit watery up front with a better burst of carbonation near the end.
Drinkability: A solid and tasty version of the style, with good flavors and spices to keep the brew afloat. I wish they'd bottle this, as it could be a good seller for the cold Virginia and Richmond months I think. I'm hoping to try it again as soon as they have it.
