Had this bottle a couple of weeks ago at the Legend Brewery in Richmond.
Poured a well-carbonated pale gold color with frothy head and lacing. A faint smell of hops and some light fruits but all very subdued. Taste is more of the same and pleasant - a fine balance of hops, some sweet malts and spice give it a little sharp edge with citric/sour fruits and some sweetness on the sides. Finishes slightly dry and crisp. Not a bad beer at all but nothing outstanding.

Got the bomber at the Wine Seller in Williamsburg for $4.25.

In an oversized wine glass.

Clear orangey golden amber; nice creamy head.

Smell: Banana, clove, wheat, banana bread. Sweet. Slight fruity (mango or papaya) note. Smells delicious.

Taste: Dryer than I expected. Soft wheat, barley. Slight clove/spice. A bit bitter and tart. Slight soft Belgian yeastiness.

MF: Smooth. Lower than average carbonation.

Drinkability is pretty decent. Smells so good, but the taste is a little lackluster and disappointing. I hoped for more. It might just be that I just don't know what belgian pale ales are supposed to taste like, but I remember enjoying Leffe Blonde (the only other Belgian pale I've had) more than this.
