Yet another example of a restaurant pretending to be a brewpub. The service was adequate, the food was good, if not exceptionable. The beers were very average to fair. We were seated promptly, our drink order taken and served, our food oreder take and served, all in an acceptable time frame. A previous reviewer described the beers as cookie cutter, and thatb is being very generous. I know PA ahs vbery strict laws on brewpubs, and the way alcohol is served, but at least it forces the establishments to brew better beers, or go out of business. OK to stop at for the food, but don't make a special trip for the beer.

Rocky Run seemed to be a regular run of the mill brew-pub. You can see the "brewery" off to the left before you walk in. It doesn't inspire confidence in the beers you are about to taste. It's dingy dark and bags of malt are strewn about like it's a unkempt garage.

It has a large menu of bar food with some poor attempts at creativity sprinkled in for good measure. The food is lackluster at best.

The beer is only a step or two above Bud. The staff doesn't know about the beer. I can imagine a "brewer" following a boring bland recipe sent from corporate and treating the brew like a chore rather than a passion. It comes through in the taste.

The only saving grace is the service which was friendlier and faster than average in MD. Unfortunately the standard here is quite low.

When you are at Rocky Run, everything screams overly average chain. There is brown paper and crayons on the table for the kiddies and dated junk on the walls that probably need a good once over.

The food is poorly done pub grub. We've had poor crab quesadilla and a wimpy burger with equally wimpy fries. The only shining grace is the free peanuts that might make you forget that the beer isn’t all that. As with old hole in the wall bars, you can throw the shells no the floor.

The bartenders knew nothing about the beer and were overly lackluster to boot. They do have SamAdams, Yuengling, and Ultra on tap and a few crafts in bottle to “compliment” the three or four brews they have on tap. The stout isn't bad, but I can't say that any of the others are better than "C" level brewpub brews.

Overall, if you find yourself in the town of Columbia, you really should only spend your money at Frisco’s for food and beer. You’ve been forewarned…

Didn't intentionally seek this place out---this was a fallback place in Columbia after our first couple choices had long waiting times. This place is your typical family friendly chain restaurant---brown paper over the checkered table clothes for kids to write on, plenty of TV's scattered around the room. Cleaniness leaves a little to be desired---people next to me moved halfway throught their meal because flies were all over their corner table---the vents above our table seemed to keep them away.

Having never been here, I of course ordered the sampler to try the beers---the only one of the 5 that impressed me was the stout. The maple leaf lemon wheat, which was served with a lemon, tasted like lemon pledge and was undrinkable. The other three, a pale ale, golden ale, and red ale, were all bland and lackluster---good enough to wash down my wings but nothing I'd want to order again. The seasoned wings I had were very tasty, hot and spicey but still very flavorful and edible. My friend also enjoyed his sandwhich. Service was so/so---my server placed my sampler wrong and I had to correct her, and she was also fairly slow on filling me up when I was empty---but the manager came out , unasked for, and paid for the meal of the people who had to move because of the flies---nice gesture from management.

Overall, I wasn't too impressed with this place. Except for the stout, the beers were all below average, and the food wasn't good enough to make up for this lack of good beer. Doubt that I'll be visiting again soon.

Not a bad spot to grab lunch during the day, but at night it was particularly dead on the Friday I visited. Bartenders barely acknowledged your existence, they had a few house beers on tap and some other macro swill (I heard they used to have better beers there, not anymore). Bar is dark with some cool old advertising and lots of O's stuff, but just has a strange vibe to it. Clientelle can be kinda shady at times. I liked the food when I've been there for lunch before. Beers are average to below average. Drink downtown, you'll have a better experience.

A decent dunkel and a disappointing pale met our taste buds at this decidedly cookie-cutter-feeling establishment.

Old beer lights and signs (Schlitz!?!) a real commitment to the Orioles, with the game on TV, banners overhead and the schedule on the wall. Peanut shells on the floor. If I lived here, this might be a perfect attitude adjustment. If I lived here, I might know the servers and it could be a fallback joint for a quick one. But as a traveller, the place falls short of tourist-pleasing. The beer's not consistent, and the vibe is a little too "East Side Mario's" if that means anything to you.
