Pours burnt back, moderate head/lacing. Toasty aroma, lots of malt. This tastes like a typical Black IPA, malts work nicely with the hops and produce a chewy sweetness. The profile is toffee, hard candy, root beer. Not the biggest fan of Black IPAs, but this is a nice take on the style.
