Chunks of yeast are floating within this otherwise milk chocolate brown beer. No highlights show through. One inch of fine chestnut foam gradually falls, pulling down a curtain of lace within a Rupert mug. Ultimately, a thin blanket forms.
Rich milk chocolate and mild roasted malt work well with roasted coffee. There is some molasses, and it is fairly sweet.
The mild roasted malt and coffee carried forward. It is more sweet than bitter, and both are modest. Light baker's chocolate gives way to strong pumpernickel as it warms. The finish is long and bitter, becoming dry and filled with baker's chocolate.
It has a medium to full body and a creamy texture. Fine, fizzy carbonation adds to the creaminess, while alcohol is as expected.
Sweet Tooth is a pleasant, old school Sweet Milk Stout that is not over-reaching. I found it to be more of a sipping beer and suitable for reading.
