Poured from a tap, with a light bronze color, with a hue of copper towards the bottom of the glass. Very minimal off-white head that wore off quickly.
The smell was rich in hops and maled grains as well as deep citrus notes and traces of melons and a grainy / malted finish
The taste was incredible and by far my favorite APA and the beer that made me fall inlove with the style itself. The hopp biterness is cut with strong flavors of gratefruit and orange amongst a deep array of balanced malts and meager pinge of alcohol at the end. It was a beer in perfect balance.
The mouth feel was sensational, with little carbonation, only enough to give the beer a perfect texture and feel as I swallowed it. The flavor that ewas left behind had no negative affects, and as I alwasy love mostly contained hops, as I do not alwasy love just tasting nothing but malt of the after taste. The citrus notes prevail for the same enduring level of time that the hops do.
The beer has medium body and served in a pint glass is a welcoming and time consuming task, although it does not bring on a fatigue that one would othrwise expect.
Easily one the best beers I've had, cheers to King Arthurs and the brew master for making thos one.
