This beer is the definition of whart an American Brown Ale should be.
The aroma was rich in roasted malts, a bit of crystal, and definitley choclate. The taste was a very abrasive roasty, almost coffee like at first, with hops pull through torwards the end, then, with an oaky finish alongside toffee notes, which linger on the palate with some hop bitterness.
This was a very BIG beer, and very well made. As of late, I would have to say this is the best showing that this establishment has to offer.
It would by all means go great with ice cream, cheese cake, other dairy desserts, or even sheppards pie.
