Pours an opaque, grass green coloration with a small, fizzy head that quickly fades away. Smells of green apples and lime, with a hint of kiwi coming through as well. Taste is a great balance of quite fresh and vibrant fruit notes of tart green apple, lime and lighter kiwi. Finishes with a light tartness and some apple and lime lingering in the aftertaste. Thick, chewy mouthfeel with a medium body and low carbonation.
Just like the last ones I had from Selfmade, these are the first proper "Smoothie" or "Slushie" Sours that I have come across in Europe. While this does not have much in common with beer anymore, really being more similar to an alcoholic fruit smoothie in taste and texture, it is rather enjoyable in its own way. It really does feel quite fresh and natural, with a great balance of quite zesty lime, tart apple and sweet kiwi notes, never seeming overly sweet or artificial. While the texture isn't quite as rich as with the other two, probably because calamansi doesn't have much flesh to it, it's still distinctly thick, giving a very unique mouthfeel to this.
